disney trip day 5 (animal kingdom)

ANIMAL KINGDOM

once there we all made a bee line to expedition Everest.

now that was cool! dad called while we were waiting in line...nice to talk to him.

did i say it was hot? Florida is hot in june did you know that?

anyway we rode DINO saur. i think that how they spelt it? that was neat too. we split up and we went to eat in asia of course chinse food! yeah.

we then went to wait for the train to go to nature watch, the train never showed after 45 minutes so we went to go to the walking trail, nice cool!




we listened to some african folk music, loved that too.

then met up with the rest of the family to go on the safari.

it started to rain and all the others left. fred lauren and i went to watch it's tough being a bug.
that was great, lauren got a kick out of that.

we all had dinner at the hotel and went to the lighted night parade at magic kingdom.

i really enjoyed this park. Lauren did too.

first off we went and rode STAR TOURS.


Lauren loved it. she was still afraid it was going to be like space mountain, but she loved it.



after that we went and saw Muppet's 3-d. it was so 80's but good. when we were walking out, OMG buzz and woody were standing right there. cool beans!

we had a quick lunch and went to the other side of the park, ran in to SIL and BIL. Fred went with them to ride tower of terror. no way they are gonna get my ass on that. so i called mom and checked on cookie.

well Fred loved the ride....what ever , just hearing the screams freaked me out.

so i went and rode rockin roller coaster with fred, andy , shane and savannah.

TOTALLY WICKED! 0-60 in 2.5 seconds total darkness except the black lit signs. jamming away to aerosmith tunes. that rocked.

okay they talked me into riding tower of terror....the fear that overcome me once in the shaft was so crazy. never if we ever go back to WDW i will never ride that again.

so after prying my hands from the bars in that elevator shaft, me, lauren and savannah went to ride star tours for the 2nd time. lauren would not shut up telling savannah all about the ride, during the ride. i have a feeling when lauren grows up she will be one of the star wars nerds.

we grabbed a bite to eat and it was time to go, but lauren was upset....why? well she wanted to ride star tours again, so off me and her go. NUMBER 3 ride of the day.....

off to magic kingdom!

the castle was BEAUTIFUL! much smaller in person, but very nice.

we saw chip and dale and Pluto in the front square and decided to wait, the line was long.

i saw Mary Poppins outta the corner of my eye and thought we could catch her on the way back.

bad move , we never saw Mary again.

we went up to the castle and saw the show and headed to tomorrow land. Lauren's first character meet was Cinderella's wicked step mom and those two sorry sisters.

we rode the cars on the race track and then off to space mountain.

i had no idea it was gonna be like that. Lauren freaked the whole ride.

but she made it Thur just fine. then we rode the teacups.


OMG! talk about sick, Lauren started turning green. but once off we saw pooh and tigger and Darby.

we ate lunch and went to "it's a small world" , if i ever hear that song again i will puke. over and over and over again....

we went to ride pirates of the Caribbean. now that we cool! great effects. we rode the old paddle boat and then mike's laugh floor, that was so cute, i love monsters, INC.

then i met chip and dale.....Lauren was tired of taking pictures, but i love chip and dale, so i did the autograph thing and picture.

Friday may 30, 2008

started the day with cinnamon rolls and some sponge bob.

got the car loaded and left the house around noon.

we were making great time, but we needed to rest a bit, stopped in Gonzales to eat at Cracker Barrel.

got to new Orleans around 3:15.

checked in and rode across the street to the airport to check in at the delta counter.

took Lauren to swim in the pool and it was nice to sit, relax and enjoy the setting sun. i called mom and told her i feed cookie before we left. Later that night we went to eat at the hotel restaurant. LONG wait...but it was good, yummy. off to bed at 11:00, we gotta wake up early.

saturday may 31, 2008

well, Mr. NERVOUS was up at 5:45. i stayed in bed till 6:15. we met MIL and FIL down stairs for breakfast at 7:00. the rest of the Clan showed up at 8:00. i went to park my car in the extended lot and unpack the bags.

i felt burning on my legs, holy shit, ANTS . not just a few but millions of those little bastards. i utterly had to undress right there to get them all off.

got loaded up and off to the airport, too early.

once on the plane lauren was in awe. then her ears started hurting, but she fell asleep. glad we packed the ear meds. got to orlando and it was a rat race to get to the disney express counter. too many chiefs.

i found it and got us all checked in.

OFF TO WDW!

got checked into the hotel and then off to the gift store, had to get lauren her goofy hat.

we ate at the food court and then took the bus to downtown disney.

poor cookie-wookie

poor little man.
cookie was playing under Lauren's trampoline saturday afternoon
and i heard him barking and looking under the trampoline.
i figured he was barking at the pad straps that were hanging down.
but he was barking at a WASP nest.
i got up to go see right before the wasp came down and STUNG him not once but twice.
once on each side of his nose.
with in an hour his nose was swollen.
i washed it off and looked for the sing sites but found nothing.
i checked on him sunday morning and the swelling was way down.

now just to get him to learn from this.....

my new love

this was the moon the other night. i find the moon so amazing.

the colors it reflects, the way it pulls the tides here on earth.

i really like to watch it cross the skies.

well CHOMAS, i raised the bar and went over......

i completed 20 layouts saturday and 15 random cards, 5 more rolodex cards and worked on my disney album.

i will not go into details of the crappy weekend but it's monday and a new start.

well i got an awesome little point and shoot camera for mother' day.

sometimes life is not all you thought it would be, but things happen for a reason and you grow stronger.

we got dressed and headed to the back yard, but what did we forget, SUNSCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!
both she and i are burnt, she has a darker skin color then me and she is rose colored, but me?

so yeah, summer is here. YUCK!

and the plans for this weekend

afterwork lauren and i go shopping for mother's day gifts and birthday gifts.

saturday:
work cows, well move them from one pasture to another across the road
11:00-1:00 a birthday party
2:00 to 4:00 another birthday party
and if time allows we go to the state park to visit with MIL and nephews birthday party

sunday:
go to church and i really want the afternoon to do NOTHING or scrapbook .....

Friday:went to work .the porter was out because of personal reasons.made a deal, i washed the one car that was ready for delivery and i can leave at 2i washed and left at 2 for the scrapbook store.it was nice to just play all afternoon.lori showed up at 5:30ish and we cropped till about 7:30 and went to eat and have a drink.then back to the store and i left for home at 11:25 pm.great night. really enjoyed it and i won a door prize!saturday:lauren woke up early.we got dressed and went to academy and shopped some.meet with dad and mrs. peggy at O'Charley's .they gave lauren a WATER CANNON......... and i was given a FLYING PIG! i have to find the right spot to hang it. a bird house shaped like a flying pig. thanks dad i love it!we went to wal mart and shopped a bit more then went home.sunday:went to church and ate chinese.then the FUN PART>>>>we worked cows for about 4 hours.i have to say this is why i LOVE living in the country and have critters to help take care of.we have to vacinate a few, well all but a few calves that are going to the sell.i love to be in the mix with them, totally love the working girl power i get hollaring and pushing some cattle around. and i checked in on Wart, he looks right at home with the big girls.....when we got done, we went to get pizza.over all it was a great weekend.now today i am back at work. looking forward to cleaning the house, because iut needs it.have a great week guys.

yep the weather is a changing'.
it's humid and getting nasty warm.
i hate summer but love the summer afternoons.

nothing much going on other then the same old rat race.

i am going crop with a friend Friday night and hope to get my scrapping mojo back, and Saturday dad's coming through town.

i really want to go ahead and make plans for the august scrapfest in san antonio but i doubt i will be able to make it, but i will turn my focus to a march 2009 crop here in town.

i hope to get alot of ladies here in town one weekend in march and feed them till the pop.
and i think i will have a secret person comming.....hummm, makes ya wonder huh?

hi there!

what a good weekend.

friday night we hung around the house and watched STAR WARS. how funny it is to see lauren watch a movie i enjoyed as a small child. she loves chewie! (he was my favorite too!)

saturday we slept in and went to the movie to watch NIM'S ISLAND. what a great movie. i enjoyed it. then after we went shopping for WDW clothes. well, I did. i got all shorts and a few skorts and shirts. next weekend i think fred is gonna go shopping for his and then we have to shop for lauren.....

sunday we went to church and JESSE DUPLANTIS was preaching. it was nice to hear him and i got a lot out of his surmon. then we went to eat at lauren's favorite place, MCALISTER's, i hate that place, only because you have to wait 20 minutes for a freaking sandwich and they changed up the menu and the one i loved is no longer on the menu, but lauren likes it is all that matters.

we got home and i mowed and fred did too, lauren and i jumped on the trampoline and i double bounced her and her knee hit her nose! she is fine now, but i got scared she broke her nose.

we watch the last episode of star wars and got ready for bed.

i actually cleand out my prima flowers, geez! i got a lot of flowers. and this week i plan on hitting the pattern paper and sorting through that. i need to condense my stuff so that i can scrapbook more and stop buying.

i need to stop collecting paper too. that's a big problem with me.

i am doing good on my 150 layouts challenge i am at 25 right now and it's great. i want to be able to get a new desk or paint the old on i have.

well that's about it for now. i have to get back to work and try to make some money.

oh and i wanted to share this layout i did of my dad.

well i am really sick of being sick.

2 more days of wrk missed and i am still not outta the woods today.
the thought of eating makes me gag. i have drank at least 5 gallons of
water in the past two days and a case of 7 up.
and a box of crackers.

but at least lauren is better, it sucks feeling sick and having to take care of a sick kid too.
at least her's passed quick and she wanted to go visit mimi tuesday.
yesterday i washed all the bed sheets and lysoled the whole house.
i scrubbed all the tubs and cleans everything she and i might have touched and replaced the tooth brushes.

yesterday once that was all done i relaxed and watched some tv. then at 2:30 had to go get her from school.
we then went to the hospital to go see wayne. he had two more stints put in his heart. at 5:45 he was out and the doctor said all went well. we went into recovery to go see him and he looked good.

he will be home today.

i just home i can make it through the day with out something oozing out.

at least it's thursday. 1 dayto go

I still don't have a clue were this crap came from, but i would hate for it to come back. which is possible.

but i really need to eat "more" healthy. like more fruits and veggies.

less gluten products and less fried foods.

tuesday update

i still hurt like heck. just waiting on blood and urine test to come back.

i am do with message board life. i am leaving a home that i have had for 3 years and looking for an apartment. LMAO.

after all these years i have made wonderful friends and buddies i will love forever.

i will be posting my layouts on my loricre8's blog while i look for a new place.

i will miss scrapjazz, i will miss my friends, but enough is enough and a new page in life is about to be turned.
this is is no flipping back.

SJ is a great place. but we are no devils like another blogger from SJ said the other day. that was so silly.

even tho we have are fights and hair flips there is a reason we love SJ, it's home.

i love you guys, but i really need to get back to life. not that it was taken away from but YKWIM...

well got back sunday afternoon.
totally , TOTALLY awesome time.

in a nut shell:

got to lori's house friday morning and we headed out to houston IAH! got there way early and enjoyed a beer to take the edge off the nervousness.

lesle met us there and we went and ate at chili's. then off to denver!
great flight. landed in denver. where's the snow? none to be seen.
enjoyed the lay over and at at a tex-mex place in the airport. called cheri p and was told ashley s was delayed like 4 hours! OMG! poor honey.

went to the gate and waited for the SAC trip. we met JAMES and cool guy that was listening in to our conversation. his wife knitts. so he knew about us scrapbookers.

on the plane ride, there was some AF guys heading out for training and one poor guy fell asleep. well, they jacked with his face on the plane. lmao.


got to cali and cheri and Amy picked us up.
totally awesome to see cheri again. i love that woman.

went to cheri's work to get our scrap crap box and stop for beer. (baby beer)
and then off to patti's house. wow! what a neighborhood.
she was so awesome to open her house to us and threa a wonderful welcoming party.
omg! i saw girls i thought i would never meet. JES, ERINJ, DEANNA, STEPHANIE H, JENK, THERESA

just fantastic time.

we did not get much sleep friday night so i woke up early and took the first show of the day. yeah for me i had hot water!
Monika, Lori and i went to the store to help patti set up. that was so cool to set up and see the store first hand. i was blown away by the product and supplies. total scrapbook heaven.

about 12ish cheri had to go to her house and i rode with her and she took me to FOLSOM prison. wow! now that we neat. so old and just wonderful. and for the record johnny cash never spent time at the prison other then to have concerts. Cheri and i did not know!

so back to the store and more scrapping and visiting. when i left with Cheri there was half a try left of won tons. when i got back there was only 7 left. that Lori jack ate them all.

we did challenge and door prizes.

it got tense for a while but i will not remember the time of stupidity, because that is what it was, but i will forever remember those lovely ladies and the awesome trip to California to see my friends for the Internet.

i mean where what would i be doing if it was not for those friends. my buddies my pals.
it may be spastic. but they are my spazz's.

oh and California in February....cold and rainy. but so worth the adventure.

this was a great weekend. friday we hung out at home. saturday we hung out more and then went to eat chili at robert and ana's. then the storm blew in, WOW ! that was freaky. sunday was a pretty awesome day. went to church and then to eat CHINESE and then to sam's the get snacks for lauren's snack day on the 20th. we (me and lauren) went mud riding in the fields and played with cookie. and seeded plants...

that's it , now i just sit and wait......wait for friday.......i have a feeling this week is going to go by slooooowww.

Mardi gras 2008

Amist the rumors of rain and the HUMID air we went to the children's mardi gras parade yesterday afternoon.

it was nice and lauren is now old enough to know not to go in to the street.

hello 2008

we had a great new years eve.

lots of firecrackers and family around.

my goals for 2008.
spend more time with fred and lauren (then scrapping)
lose those "lauren" pounds that keep hanging around.
run the 5k on st.patricks day.
and be a happier person in general.

have a blessed new years everyone. it's a fresh start

out with the old

good bye 2007.
it was a great year and a sad one all in one.

sad that i lost a grandfather that i was not very close to.
sad that my brother moved his kids to another state.
sad that the house moving bastard still owes us money.

good that fred, lauren and i have our health
good that we know are home owners with two paid off vehicles.
good that we have a pet we love.
good that i met some pretty amazing ladies in august.
good that i have great hopes for 2008.
good that WDW is only 5 months away.

yeah i gotta work, and poor Fred has to stay with Lauren and play with all her new toys.

i can not begin to list all the toys and gadgets she got but she loves them all.

we had a great time.

lauren got a razor scooter, a mio dog, pj's, monkey's in the tree game, a tink blanket, hat and gloves.

we had a wonderful time in texas and i was able to visit with mona too. thanks for lunch mona!

CHRISTMAS....fa la la la la la la la laaaaa.

good ness. i have finished all my shopping but forgot about a few things for lauren.

so i got that barbie and a v-tech handheld for the car trips and a few games. some special panties for her stocking and small stuff. she has everything a 6 year could want and more.
i am just blessed she has and not wants.
