Disney trip: day 3 and 4

Sunday: may 23
up and Adam! we were up at 7:15 and ready to go to breakfast at 8:15.
on the bus to Hollywood studios for STAR WARS WEEKENDS!!!!!!!!
holy cow that place was PACKED UP! Lauren did not want to wait in the LONGGGGGGG lines to get pictures and autographs... i was a tad bummed by this, because this is the reason we picked this weekend. but i totally understood her reason, the lines were wrapping around buildings and it was hot. so to keep with the memories i wanted to keep for her of the trip, i took pictures of the characters with other kids...i will crop the kids out, but it's funny looking thru the pictures and seeing Other kids....LOL

funny huh? i think it is, but i will have memories....

so about 3:30 we were sweating bullets and wanted a break, so back to the hotel and in the pool for a whittle swim. it was nice.

we ate supper at the food court and off to magic kingdom! the had late hours today for resort members till 2:00 AM! we walked to adventure land and rode pirates of the C and off to splash mountain and big thunder mountain rail road! i was very happy Lauren rode those two rides!but we had a deal, if she rode those i would have to go on it's a small world....my own personal hell. the mix of the dolls and that horrendous song makes me physically ill... SERIOUSLY! i can not take it.

so a few more rides and fire works, we made it home about 1:30 am....tired people.

monday : may 24

we slept in some...that was nice to get some sleep. skipped breakfast and off to EPI-COT. that is how Lauren says it. we got fast passes to test track and then off to MEXICO for lunch at San Miguel's, in the pyramid. it was wonderful... had a Sol beer, they did not serve corona's, it was very good and cold.

heading over to test track. lauren was nervous, heck i was too, never rode it before....WOW! that was cool! i loved it! so we went over to soarin' to get a fast pass since there was a 2 hour wait...

at 2:15 we got the fast pass and the return time was 8:15! holy cow. so back to world showcase and drank, ate snacks and it rained...i think we were the only three out side in the rain, it felt wonderful. killing time, window shopping and off to the sea area to see nemo and friends...

finally soarin'....so neat!

left Epcot and ate and swam.....another long day.

Disney trip: days 1 and 2

friday: may 21
woke up as normal 6.30 am and got lauren to betty's for school...Lauren wanted Mimi to bring her on her last day of 2nd grade.
fred got home and we started packing and getting the car loaded. Lauren got home about 10:00 and we said good-bye to mimi and wayne and left for iowa. we had a few bills to mail off and gas up the car...stopped by mcdonald's for a bite on the road...11:00 we are on I-10 heading EAST!

we get about a mile from jennings and we all have to make a potty stop...( jennings is only about 20 minutes from the house!) so we stop and back on the road...
i watched for police and traffic over the Atchafalaya Basin bridge...all clear. got thru baton rouge, no problem. OOPS! looks like I-10 is backed up, we took the cut across on I-12 thru Slidell and hammond area....BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the traffic starts to back up, before i know it, i passed an off ramp at Livingston....CRAP...the cars are at a dead stop for about 20 minutes, then it starts creeping, and i mean a snails pace.... long story short, a tanker truck over turned on the Interstate and the State police closed it down. Hazardous spill... FLUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!
4 hours, yes, 4 FREAKING hours and this is just crawling.... they detoured the traffic up to holden to 190 then back down to I-12 thru Albany....i was at my wits end and fred was like a caged animal....glad lauren slept thru most of it.

SO at 5:45 we are back on I-12 heading east and hit I-10 to MISSISSIPPI. YEAH!
we stopped a few times to pee and gas up... it's getting dark....really hate that 4 hour crap back on I-12...but we are moving right along.
drive on to alabama! lauren loved the tunnel and it was nice to see the water.
but at 8:30 we called it quits and stopped at a Holiday Inn in Pensacola...good night!
what a long day!

saturday: may 22
we set the alarm for 7 am....
but for some reason, i was up at 6:00, holy crap! the time will change and add an hour....woke up fred and lauren, come on we gotts to go! Lauren wanted breakfast, but we have to go! on the road at 7:00 and stopped at some rinkie dink town along I-10 at a mcdonald's and got it to go...
back on the road, same thing today , stopped less for the pee breaks and on to I-75 south to ORLANDO! (sidenote: i love that MS, AL and FL have rest stops...nice ones too!) so we get on the florida turnpike and get going again.... making great time. we need to be there at 3PM and we are right on schedule! get off turnpike and OH SHIT! am i in down town Houston? the overpasses, underpasses and on and off ramps everywhere! signs EVERYWHERE! ok, i gotta chill, so i follow the TOMTOM and get off at Lake Buena vista Drive.... looks familiar, there is a Disney sign....? so keep going and i am starting to sweat....Christy calls and says Amber is feeling bad and will not be able to met up with us....BUMMER! but i am still lost.... so we get to an intersection and i call the hotel....madeline was awesome! she knew where we were and helped me get back on I-4 and back to the REAL disney off ramp....to to the hotel 25 minutes late!
but hey, better there then on that damn interstate!

come to find out, there is a Lake buena vista drive and a Buena Vista drive..... *shakes head*
Lauren was so happy to get to the room!

so we unpacked, cleaned up and headed to down town Disney to meet Jessica and Eric at the house of blues! we had a great chat and i was suprised fred did not freak out about meeting "online" people! LOL

we enjoyed our dinner and walked around. jessica and eric had to go back to there hotel at Universal and we walked around downtown for a bit and then caught the bus back to our hotel and swam a bit.....
big day on sunday!

back in the saddle

last week was amazing...who'da thunk!?
anyway, today i am going to go on to both sculpting and cardio and abs, a 3 for all!
i think it will work, i have done a week of working on technique and i think it will be a breeze.

on my day off, i did not eat like a pig either. portion control and i have learned to eat till i was not hungry, not till i was full...

and we are going up and getting P90X, WOO! a friend is giving it to us! i can not wait. but i think i will stick to P90 and do that to completion... i have a bad habbit on not finishing things and i will finish this first.

and guess what!? i lost 5 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO!

*sigh* day 3

they say if you can make it thru the first week, you will be good to go!
who is they? i want to punch them in their cooters!

so back to cardio last night. did the warm up stretch and started on the works.

i HATE YOGA!!!!!!!

i was fine after that , but that upward dog, plank, downward dog crap kills me....so i paused the dvd, got some water and walked around till it was over! LMAO...cheater!

the rest of cardio was awesome, then came the abs!
i did all 100 reps !!!!!!!!!!!

tonight, back to sculpting I-II, i wonder if i will ever advance to III-IV? LOL

Day 2

i am beginning to think, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?
got home last night, changed and started on sculpting...with resistance band.
holy Toledo!
a resistance band is like this

i played with it when the box came in and thought, what a piece of cake....YEAH RIGHT!
so 30 minutes of warm-up, using these bands from hell and a cool down. then back to Abs.

so yeah, i am one sore lady today....

i did take my body measurements last night...every inch counts.
i did notice that one thigh is bigger then the other, by two and a half inches? strange! i measured Fred's and his is only like a quarter inch....hum? anyway, i have a goals....
goal #1 : lose 40 pounds. the reason? get back to pre-Lauren weight.
goal #2 : get my thighs even. now i look in the mirror i can see the difference! so weird.
goal #3 : get down to at least a size 9-10 in jeans... i never threw you out my darlings!
goal #4 : eat better. add for veggie and meats to my diet.
why? because i want Lauren to eat better and if i do, she will.

okay, so tonight i got cardio again....and abs....

by the way, in the past 4 days i have only had 1 1/2 cokes.! this is a big deal

day 1 of the the next three months

yes, i started a workout program and diet... time to shed that weight and get in shape. i think my low point was about January...i turned 35 and just looked in the mirror and thought, " what the hell have you done physically for the past 35 years?" after about 2 minutes of thinking and looking at myself in disgust, it donned on me! i need to get in shape and lose some of this extra flab.
so i kinda planted the seed. telling Fred i wanted p90x. www.beachbody.com
one day he called and mentioned a boot camp version of the famous program (p90x) called P90 or power 90. not as hard as the p90x, but you walk away with about the same results.

so i have it in my mine it's only 90 days, 3 months...not that long. i have made a few promises to myself and intend on keeping them. i finally am able to keep a journal on what enters my body and i am sure i write it all down ( kinda hard with all that damn Easter candy sitting there), but i look at it and say, nope! you have a promise to keep.

i am so took pictures like the program said....first day, 30 days, 60 days and the final. (i will work scrapbooking in to this you know> LOL)

so here is to a new me! my goals are number one right now and i will keep my promise to myself...

side note: glad Easter is over, enjoyed time with family.

talk to y'all soon!

sleep is so overrated!
as i wait for the game to start sunday, i am overcome with dread and joy.
the pressure on the Boys will be so heavy. but they will overcome.
when we won the NFC title, i said many times, "i could careless about if we won the super bowl". but now, i know we can...we have too. not for new orleans, not for louisiana, but for us Fans...we need this...i will start praying for you guys!
give 'em hell out there!

Dear Miami:

The Saints are coming. And so are we, their loyal, long-suffering and slightly discombobulated Super Bowl-bound fans.

While there's still time to prepare -- although a few hard-core Who Dats will begin trickling in Monday, most of us won't arrive until Thursday or Friday -- we thought we'd give you a heads-up about what you should expect.

First things first: You need more beer.

Yeah, we know. You ordered extra. You think you have more than any group of humans could possibly consume in one week. Trust us. You don't.

New Orleans was a drinking town long before the Saints drove us to drink. But it turns out beer tastes better when you're winning. (Who knew?) So let's just say we're thirsty for more than a championship; adjust your stockpiles accordingly.

And look. When we ask you for a go-cup, be nice to us. We don't even know what "open container law" means. Is that anything like "last call"?

It's Carnival season in New Orleans (that's Mardi Gras to you), and we'll be taking the celebration on the road. So don't be startled if you walk past us and we throw stuff at you; that's just our way of saying hello.

Oh, and sorry in advance about those beads we leave dangling from your palm trees. We just can't help ourselves, also don't forget to order more beer.

February is also crawfish season, and you can be sure that more than one enterprising tailgater will figure out a way to transport a couple sacks of live mudbugs and a boiling pot to Miami.

When the dude in the 'Who Dat' T-shirt asks if you want to suck da head and pinch da tail, resist the urge to punch him. He's not propositioning you. He's inviting you to dinner.

And if you see a big Cajun guy who looks exactly like an old Saints quarterback walking around town in a dress ... don't ask. It's a long story. Have you ordered more beer yet?

We know that crowd control is a major concern for any Super Bowl host city. Our advice? Put away the riot gear.

Reason No. 1: Indianapolis is going to lose, and their fans are way too dull to start a riot.

Reason No. 2: New Orleans showed the world on Sunday that we know how to throw a victory party. We don't burn cars. We dance on them.

Reason No. 3: Even if we did lose, which we won't, leaving the stadium would be like leaving a funeral, and our typical response to that is to have a parade.

Speaking of which: If you happen to see a brass band roll by, followed by a line of folks waving their handkerchiefs, you're not supposed to just stand there and watch. As our own Irma Thomas would say, get your backfield in motion. Don't forget the beer order.

And hey, Mister DJ! Yes, we know you've already played that stupid Ying Yang Twins song 10 times tonight, but indulge us just one more time.

To us, "Halftime (Stand Up and Get Crunk)" isn't just a song; it's 576 points of good memories. It's the sound of a Drew Brees touchdown pass to Devery Henderson, a Pierre Thomas dive for first down on 4th-and-1, a Garrett Hartley field goal sailing through the uprights in overtime.

It's what a championship sounds like. You may get sick of hearing it. We won't. Encore, dammit.

Inside Sun Life Stadium, you may find your ears ringing more than usual. We're louder than other fans. Seven thousand of ours sound like 70,000 of theirs.

Don't believe us? Ask the 12th man in the Vikings huddle.

Some people think it's just the Dome that heightens our volume. But you're about to discover a little secret: We can scream loud enough to make your head explode, indoors or out.

It's not the roof. It's the heart.

Well, OK, and the beer. (Be SURE you ordered enough)

Don't be surprised if there are more Saints fans outside the stadium than inside. A lot of us are coming just to say we were part of history, even if we can't witness it up close. The Saints are family to us, and you know how it is with family: We want to be there for them, whether they really need us or not. Because we know our presence will mean something to them, whether they can see us or not. And for those of us outside the stadium, the beer stands should be no more than 50 feet apart.

Come to think of it, seeing as how you're taking us in for the week, we pretty much regard you as family, too. So we're warning you now: If you're within hugging distance, you're fair game.

Hugging strangers is a proud Who Dat tradition, right up there with crying when we win.

Most sports fans cry when their teams lose. Not us. We've been losing gracefully and with good humor for 43 years. Tragedy and disappointment don't faze us. It's success that makes us go to pieces.

Hurricane Katrina? We got that under control. The Saints in the Super Bowl? SOMEBODY CALL A PARAMEDIC!!!

So anyway, don't let the tears of joy freak you out. We're just ... disoriented.

OK. Let's review:

Order more beer. Throw me something, mister. Suck da heads. Wear da dress. Stand up. Get crunk. Hug it out. Protect your eardrums. Pass the Kleenex. Hoist the trophy.

See you at the victory party.

Faithfully yours,

The Who Dat Nation

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first off, THANKS DAD!!!!!!!! i love, LOVE my birthday gift!
i will wear it with Pride and Love in my black and gold soul!

and now, my insight on that game Sunday...

holy crap, was that awesome? nail bitter, heart attack for those long hours of play.
texting back and forth with my dad...phone calls with mom...
i started to think that "those people" were right.
that the NFL wanted a farve / manning super bowl.... the refs were calling crappy plays and then our guys were playing shotty. Bree's was off and the "slippy handed bush" was not on mark.
but then OT came....i HATE NFL over time...sudden death , it all depends on that coin, heads or tails.... Bree's called it and BAMMMMMMM! we got the ball. COME ON GUYS , show them what you can do....
it all came down to the field goal kicker....Garrett Hartley....when i saw him walk on the field my stomach turned....i knew the Vike's were gonna screw with him , they had a TO left....and they did... went out side to catch my breath, i was hyper-ventilating.

then the time came.... Hartley up, he can make this...He has too...
I started praying Our father....when i got to : but deliver us from evil, he kicked.... OMG it looks good.... will it go thru, THANK you Lord it went thru....
tears streamed down my cheeks... Cheers all thru the house! THE SAINTS MADE IT!

since the SAINTS started Nov. 1,1966. they had never made it to this level!
going to the SUPA BEAUXL!

WHO DAT?

WE DAT!

now i sit , enjoying the win, will they beat Manning? at this point i could careless.
my boys are going to the 305 and that is an awesome feat in it's self.
congrats to them! they deserve it.

GEAUX SAINTS!
