good bye 2007.
it was a great year and a sad one all in one.

sad that i lost a grandfather that i was not very close to.
sad that my brother moved his kids to another state.
sad that the house moving bastard still owes us money.

good that fred, lauren and i have our health
good that we know are home owners with two paid off vehicles.
good that we have a pet we love.
good that i met some pretty amazing ladies in august.
good that i have great hopes for 2008.
good that WDW is only 5 months away.
and good that i have a best friend that i love with all my heart.

hats off to 2007. bring on 2008.

yeah i gotta work, and poor Fred has to stay with Lauren and play with all her new toys.
she had a wonderful Christmas day.
i can not begin to list all the toys and gadgets she got but she loves them all.

CHRISTMAS....fa la la la la la la la laaaaa.

good ness. i have finished all my shopping but forgot about a few things for lauren.

you ask her " lauren what do you want santa to bring you?"

she says" my november barbie." and that's it.
so i got that barbie and a v-tech handheld for the car trips and a few games. some special panties for her stocking and small stuff. she has everything a 6 year could want and more.
i am just blessed she has and not wants.

a great weekend

we had a great weekend.
friday night we went shopping for the fixin's for the gumnbo for lauren's birthday party on the 10th. got all the meats and roux.
when we were heading home we stopped by diego's house and let lauren and him play for a while.

saturday was the Fall Fest at lauren's school. it was so much fun for her. There was booths for the kids to win little trinkets and face painting and hay rides. there was also a fish bowl toss. where you toss the ping pong ball in to the fish bowls to win a fish. well she wasted 5 bucks there trying to win the fish...and yes she finally did, not only one but she won two! she was so excited.
later that afternoon we hung at the house and mom came over to see cookie and she brought her dog "Bear". that was the funniest thing i have ever seen a basett hound chasing an australian shepard. too funny. poor cookie slept so good that night he was tired.

sunday woke up EARLY , due to the time change. nice!
headed to church . fred went to a friends house to have some "MAN" time together and watch the SAINTS game. me and lauren went shopping and ate at micky d"S. we played outside and then wayne came by to take lauren for a ride around the fields. i finished mowing the grass and then she and i went to go play on the new hay bails wayne got friday. she loves to play on those bails.
we had a great evening. i made chicken fried steak, mash tators, corn on the cob and milk gravy. yummy!

saturday we welcomed into our home "cookie".
he is a basset hound. lemon and white.
He was 8 weeks old sunday and so LAZY.
it's awesome that lauren is so at peace with him.
he doesn't jump and he loves to be rubbed.
this is saturday night: lauren wanted to sleep with him.
and can you believe she gave him one of her 1000's of stuffed animals?

this is sunday morning.
yes he woke us up at 6:00 am.
needless to say we were early for church.

this is cookie saturday once we got back from picking him up.

this weekend we went to RED BLUFF FARMS in FOLSOM, LA.
it was great weather and took 3 hours to get there, but i was great.

i have been so busy with work, but this month is going to suck when i close it tomarrow..oh well,

well it another thursday....humberto hit last night and man, some people are crazy.....i can understand the schools being c losed but some business' were closed....and our local news, goodness, they were talking like it was a cat 5... just some rain and light winds....no big deal.


anyway big plans to crop with lori friday night and i am looking forward to that.....fun, FUN!

lauren gets her first big teal hunt saturday morning with fred and wayne, she is so excited. i wonder what time they will call me to go get her....she is going to be so pumped to see the birds...

watch out hunters, there is a new HUNTER in town..... fred took lauren hunting saturday...her first dove hunt. fred has not been hunting in years then all of a sudden he is stocking up on ammo and getting his hunting license...and there is lauren wanting to go along with Dada to kill some birds. she was all GUNG -HO till she noticed that she had to walk, and walk alot. she had a great time and her fanny pack was full of toys and snacks.

she is looking forward to duck season. and she is already asking is there is a rabbit season....i told her rabbit season is after the first frost and you have to eat what you kill. so she is not keen on killing anything anymore, but i think if fred brings home a dove she will try it.

she has to wait till she is 8 i think to go thru hunters safety....wonder if she will be still a hunter at age 8? time will tell, but i love this picture of her....

Monday FIL came home with a beautiful horse named HOT ROD. (Lauren named him Tom) he was a gift to all the grand-girls since all of them love horses, but i think Lauren worked her charm on him....

he was really too tall and he was stubborn as a mule. i liked his personality. he was gentle as long as the reins were not on. so he is to call the guy back today for selling him a stubborn horse. and see about getting another one that we can ride.

scrapnovice was in town

yeap that New York girl came to Louisiana. i am sitting here thinking she must have lost some weight while she was here, because she did not eat a whole lot, if anything.....

we had a great time.

i arrived 1 hour early at Hobby airport in houston.

she got there early.

we had lunch at pei wei's and met monak2 and went to maridawn's.....that store rocks.

that night we at a local resturant and she TRIED alligator......

tuesday we went to Sulphur and met up with lori jack. kristin rode the "pink pig" and tried boudin, again that face proved dis pleasure.lol.

from there we headed soth to holly beach and saw the gulf, and the damages still around from hurricane rita. ( you know that other storm). later that night lori came over just as the AC went out. man it was so freakin HOT

wednesday we drove south of Baton Rouge and went to see some Plantations.....very nice drive and loved the whole trip. we had mint julieps and ate very well. i had Gumbo and she ate a chicken po-boy.

thursady we hung out at the house and went to town shopping a bit.

friday i droped her off at our lovely airport for her to get a rental car and she drove back to houston and she ate dinner with Erin and went to archiever's.

i had a great vacation and enjoyed my time with her. lauren loves her bunches and ask if she comes back will she bring the boys....and kristin created a CRICUT nut! lauren has been telling us for weeks that is what she wants for christmas.....thanks

my paw paw passed away on the 17 of august and he is resting in peace.

my mom is trying to deal with the loss of her father and it's a hard time for her right now.

Running with the Pigs

omg! i love piggy, collect them and they are all over my house. but since saturday night i will never be able to look at my piggy's the same.....

on the way back to the store from eating at a bbq joint we decided to go and take pictures with these pigs that are in this field next to the interstate. then we see this sign that says private property no trespassing....oh no we are going to get in trouble....so Lori jack decides to jump the gate and run for the pigs, Ashley s is tripping out about going to jail should the cops come, and Patti is laughing her ass off at Lori "porking" the pig..... oh my gawd, we all about peed in our pants. then Patti, Monika and i dared to run out there and give it a go......then Patti takes off like a bat outta hell toward the truck and she is a track star.....hauling ass! all i can here is christy yelling "look at patti run" so funny.

so were all get back to the store and amynnn tells us that it's okay to take pictures with the pigs....so much for that adventure, but so funny and fun, i WILL NEVER forget the day we

friends? naw i would say long lost family! jim and christy were awesome. what a great pair of jokers. i was scared to meet christy and nervous about the "GUNS", but they made me well welcome and so nice...christy popped my bra after only a few minutes at the store, jim signed my ball jacket and i got flashed on the first night....but they will deny....but i did.... and monika "mom" gave me the ad of jim and got him to sign it....way cool!

one day florida will be visited by Lori #1 and i will have to make a trip to see my new buddies. i love you two very much. and i miss y'all dearly

weekend part 1

Awesome!

lorijack and i drove up to Dallas friday morning! great drive up there! we even drove by texas stadium, but troy was not there...LMAO...

then to the store: BLOWN AWAY! totally, totally wonderful to see all the ladies from last year and all the new ones....then kristin stock is sitting her ass right there and i did not see her! i was shocked.

then i got to finally meet my Mom and my Auntie Cheri....love them two ladies....they rocked my world.

seeing everyone was over whelming. i was in awe at the emotions i was feeling.

we picked up Oscar at the airport friday night and that was a chore in it self. leslie rode with us and i was so nice to meet and chat with her. then i had to keep kristin a secret from oscar till we got back to the store...that was a chore in it self.

update on a few things.

1. my paw paw is now in a nursing home for his last days. poor guy. he is doing well, as well can be. he is under a lot of pain from what mom says. pray for a peaceful rest soon.

2. scrapfest is 17 days away! i am so needing this mini vacation to just be me and have FUN with the girls. i am looking forward to seeing my "old" Fest friends and some new ones.

3. the house is done . all done. all the walls are painted the rooms completed and the carpet was laid last week! FINALLY!

4. i am looking forward to hosting the stay of Kristin and Kristin! just 27 days away i need to get planing meals and sight seeing tours of louisiana. what a mess to find things to do!
