SHE IS OFF

well, Lauren surprises me again.

when that kid wants to do something, she does it.

she just turned 7, and for about 3 years she has had this bike.

she never, NEVER rode it.

she hated the training wheels and hated the bike.

well Friday i get home and she tells me that Saturday morning she wants to show me something.

i think, "oh, man, another farm animal, a new dog, cat?

so Saturday morning, bright and early.

she grabs her bike.

(i should have noticed it under the carport when i got home Friday night)

and she mounts her pink bike, and SHE IS OFF....WOW!

just like that.

after i let my numbness fade, i asked fred when she learned this.

he said she got on friday afternoon after school, fell once and has never stopped since.

now, she wants a new bike for christmas....

( i think she needs to ride this one till next year)

the day after

great thanksgiving. had lunch with fred's family at a resturant.
easy. no clean up, no left overs to figure out what to do with.

then we went to robert's mom and dad's. very relaxing.
enjoyed the afteroon with friends.

but today, friday after, i sit her working, well at work.
D is off to spend time with his family and all the other tech's, well i guess they are home.

but me, sitting here reading more of step. meyers website, chilling.
messing with my blog and checking out face book friends.

i changed my "tunes" here to relect my moods with the books...
and i want badly to go to washington state to visit town of Forks.
just to see and get the feeling of completion.
these books have affected me in a great way.

now to get ready for christmas.

Today is Wednesday.
a beautiful day in Louisiana.

so, my little world is doing good today.

better then Monday, well, Monday night at least.

and i think i have O.C.D.
nice!

i knew i was a little nuts, but really i knew all along. the scrap booking stuff.
why have all that stuff? will i ever use it all? likely not.
the knitting, a newer hobby.
will i knit enough to make use of the 50 lbs. of yarn i bought?
likely not.
now reading ....i love to read, my imagination takes me off to far away places, to places where dreams flirt with reality, a nice place to escape. but sometimes those "escapes" tend to make me doubt reality.
so i am cool...taking each day as it was meant to be.
trying to get rid of my thought regarding the last books i read...the TWILIGHT SAGA.

i hate to say it, but wow! those books drew me in like crazy. great books no doubt.
the movie? eh...not what i wanted, but good for those that will newer read the books.


so that's it....turkey day is less then 12 hours away.

update of sorts

lauren's birthday party went well, saturday.

she got all she wanted. pixo's, spa factory stuff, a lamb (stuffed), brats head.

she really enjoyed herself.

her party at CEC monday was a bust , only 5 of the 10 kids from school showed up, but she really enjoyed her time with those 5 great kids.

i guess i need to update here

i am engulfed in reading the twilight series at this moment.
nothing else matters right now.....


new moon- the second book in the series...i started it today at 11am i hope to finish it thursday AM at the latest.

then i will start freaking over lauren's birthday parties comming up
