American Idol and Bon-Jovi

Ok. I am not an AI fan at all.

i normally just watch the try outs and that is about it...don't really have time to watch it every week.

BUT, last night was the exception...

BON -JOVI was on...... wow!

I am such a kid when i see him preform either on T.V. on live in concert...

they rock my little world.

but while watching them last night, i noticed the age starting to show.

Ritchie looks so old. poor fella. well he is not a spring chicken....

Jon is starting to show his age as well. but still HOT!!!!!!!!!!!

i totally love david's hair. i love those curls .

Tico still rocks...go tico!!!

but they preformed their new song from their new album due to hit stores soon and i love it.

really there is not one song i hate by them, some i love more then others but i hate not one.

now i heard Jon tell Ryan last night about a tour starting up in JANUARY 2008....hum....

dad if you still read my blog , i am sure this would make an AWESOME birthday gift and i am sure ms. peggy and ms. judy would love to go again.....

any way back to Idol....i watched the first part of it. and saw where they kicked off PHIL...poor guy, the video of him and the past idol shows made me cry....and when he sang "blaze of Glory" WOW DUDE you rocked that good.....

so i missed the last part, well really , i only watched from bon jovi ... put i kinda like AI...kinda. we will see if i have enough liking of it to watch each week.

finished unpacking the house after 3 weeks of being moved in, now to work on the outside and plant some flowers and stuff

the move

what a okay, screwed up, tired weekend....

friday went to a crop with lorijack and ana. had a great time and fun...

saturday we planed on moving, and you would know it started to RAIN!!!!!!
so i packed up the kitchen stuff and moved it in between showers.....
got all the kitchen set up.

sunday went to church and it was raining, prayed that it would stop and it did.
got home and fred had a headache so we waited for a bit, then hit it hard...got the large things, ie...dryer, washer, icebox and freezer loaded and moved.
then for round two, the sofa chairs and all the little things.
round three, the bed and scrap stuff...i was looking at the mess and wondering what the world i got my self into with moving. once the bed was up i took a shower and went to micky d's at 10:00, because i was not going to cook at 10 pm... it was so nice to sleep in the new house. lauren said it was like sleeping in a hotel...LMAO. i felt that way too.

so JAZZER's i will not be on SJ this week do to work and i hope you all have a great week. thanks for all your prayers and thoughts about the house. i will never forget this forever.

a quick update house and all the litle things

well, we are so close to moving in. i can taste it.

got all the rooms painted, the floor layed in the kitchen and the counter tops. i am sick of putting up molding and cutting 45 degree angles...sick of it.
got the limestone pours yesterday and fred is putting up the lattice.
the carport is almost done...

now once the electrican comes thursday, will be moving in this weekend. FINALLY...

and the dork...that is being handled...

now just to keep that big house cleaned....

i am so looking forward to the girls comming in on august 13-18....

and we have been busy with the cows....delivered a messy, mess last thursday and a easy one saturday...just 10 more to go .

lauren has been having fun with the new calves. and now she wants to show cows when she gets big....

NEW YORK - A dozen rats were caught on video scurrying around the floor of a New York City KFC/Taco Bell restaurant early Friday, running between counters and tables and climbing on children's high chairs.

News crews flocked to the windows of the Greenwich Village neighborhood restaurant, which hadn't opened for the day. By midmorning, the footage was all over the Internet and television news shows, with onlookers giving a play-by-play from the sidewalk as the rodents moved about.
"He's coming for his close-up," one bystander said as a rat came near the window.
Employees came to work, but no customers were allowed in as health inspectors arrived.
There was no answer at the phone number displayed in neon on the store window below the words "We Deliver."
"This is completely unacceptable and is an absolute violation of our high standards," KFC and Taco Bell said in a statement. "This restaurant has been closed and we are addressing the issue with the franchise owner. We will not allow this store to reopen until is it completely resanitized and given a clean bill of health."
The chains said construction in the basement on Thursday "temporarily escalated the situation."
The city Department of Health had inspectors at the site on Friday, said department spokeswoman Sara Markt. She said the restaurant had passed inspection in December, but a violation was issued to the restaurant owner about "evidence of rats" — which meant only droppings at the time.
Markt said the owner of the franchise is listed with the department as ADF Fifth Operating Corp.
Rats have long been a problem in New York City, with such a dense population and such a large and readily available food supply for the rodents. They are frequently scampering through subway tunnels, rooting through trash, dashing across parks and burrowing into the walls of apartment buildings.
But it is rare to see so many rats congregating in one place in such public view.
Yum Brands Inc., based in Louisville, Ky., owns the Taco Bell and KFC restaurant chains.
Last week, it was reported that Taco Bell sales had slumped after a widely publicized E. coli scare, but that international sales helped Yum Brands in the company's fourth quarter.
The E. coli outbreak late last year caused more than 70 Taco Bell customers to become ill. Federal officials said in December that the most likely source of the illnesses was lettuce. Taco Bell took precautions by changing its suppliers of lettuce and cheese in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

20 years later a college ring found....

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio (AP) -- A college ring lost more than 20 years ago by a former
undercover officer for the CIA has been found in an underwater cave off the
coast of Africa.
Steve Ruic, a writer on staff at Notre Dame College,
received an e-mail about two weeks ago from a professional diver from Germany.
Wilfried Thiesen wrote that he had found a class ring bearing the college's name
while diving off Mauritius.
The ring was engraved with the year '76. The ring
was missing the thin portion on the underside that ordinarily carries its
owner's name.
Ruic publicized the discovery in both an e-mail to college
staff and a newsletter to alumni, but no one came forward to claim it.
Then,
while interviewing a member of the class of 1976 for an unrelated alumni
magazine story, Ruic asked Dr. Maryellen Amato Stratmann if she'd ever been to
Mauritius.
"I couldn't believe it," Ruic said. "She said, 'No, but Clare
Cavoli Lopez has."'
Lopez, a 1976 Notre Dame College graduate and former CIA
undercover officer, was stationed at Port Louis, Mauritius, from 1983 to 1985.
During a dive, the ring slipped from her finger.
Ruic sent Thiesen's address
to Lopez. She has exchanged e-mails with Thiesen, she said Monday, and they're
arranging for him to mail it.

was blocking traffic in the fast lane of a major highway on Sunday found a
couple inside having sex.

A police spokesman said the female driver and

Happy birthday Sweetheart

Today is my darling Lauren's Birthday.
today is the day in which a new life was brought into the world.

five years and nine months ago, I went to the OBGYN and had all the blood work done and I was told I was pregnant. I had the normal pap smear done and sent off to lab. I received a call a few days later from the doctor wanting to schedule another appointment. At that appointment I had another PAP done and was told that the reason was because I had some abnormal cells.
That PAP came back worst then the one before. My doctor scheduled a biopsy that following week to be done in his office. I was terrified. When the results came back from that test, my doctor told me he was sending me to Baton Rouge to get a second opinion. I went to BR and visited with another doctor that scheduled me another biopsy for that June...I was 5 months long.
that day in the hospital be for the biopsy, fred's mom prayed for me and the baby. I have never felt such peace. The surgery went well and all of the cancer was removed from my cervix.
that night in the hospital room was scary. The nurse told me to get up and walk so that the blood would not pool. Well, I did not listen. I got up to go to the bath room around 1:30 am and Fred almost had a heart attack. There was blood everywhere. The entire floor was bright red.
I was scared from all the blood and being 5 months long that I was going to lose my baby. But all was well.

fast forward to the ultra sound in July. Mom came with me because Fred had to work and could not get off. She keep saying "your gonna have a girl I know it". I told her not to jinx it, because I kinda had my heart set on a boy. We went in the room and during the US my mom saw it was a girl. Everyone with in the office heard her scream with joy... It was going to be a girl and I was so happy it was. I am so happy she is a girl....

I will not tell you the labor/c-section story due to the fact that they are almost all the same, but today at 1:40 pm my baby girl will be 5 years old....

so happy birthday Lauren and momma thanks you from the bottom of my heart.

IT'S friday......

yeap another week gone.....closer to thanksgiving and christmas.....

another week has past with no house, but the ball is rolling and i must keep focused on the outcome....

i was able to reserve a place at the park for lauren's birthday party on the 25th.....

another week has past and i will be able to see the white stuff...oh the joy of it....looking forward to seeing it.

Friday: went to work as normal . Then to fred's sister house for Lauren/kelsey's family birthday parties. Lauren has two parties for her birthday... The food was good....Mexican...And hence the theme Lauren dressed up. So cute ....
and we watched cars till 12:30 am....

Saturday: Fred and a couple friends went to the house and cut the carport away from the main house. geez! Seeing some movement there was nice. I forgot to take pictures of those guys working. But all went well. Me and Lauren went to eat at burger king. Was nice to spend some one on one time with her. She blows my mind.....
that night we went to Wally world to shop for Sunday's party for Robert.
and got a few gifts for lauren's birthday party on the 25th.
I baked a cake for Robert and we watched little mermaid.

Sunday: for some reason I woke up with the rooster....Excited? I have no idea. We ate breakfast and went to Roberts house to watch the saints play and eat. I enjoyed spending time with the girls and we finally got to meet cougar. He is so cute. (that's what they named their son)
Lauren loved to look and play with Diego. He is only 4 months old, but she liked playing with him.

so that's it in a nut shell....Now just to wait for the mover and get busy painting and laying floors....

better today, no rain ( i used to love rain).

This weekend

Friday after work, went grocery shopping at Wally world.
finally was able to pick up pictures from the circus. Now I can scrap!

Saturday we woke up a little late, decided to go the the Celtic festival at the Civic center, that was interesting. listened to Folk music and the bagpipes. why does the sound of bagpipes make me want to cry?
then we headed over to target to see what they had there,
(i was looking for Prima flowers) they did not have anything.
when we were leaving we ran into Robert , Ana and diego.
they invited us over for steaks and to watch the McNeese game. I was so hungry: so Lauren and I talked Fred into taking us to Johnny careno's...yummy...
then off to change clothes and go visit our friends and watch the game.
sunday: did not make it to church, woke up late from staying up till 12:30 the night before. then we went to visit my dad and ms. peggy at her mom's house. it started to rain...and still is today. dad noticed a few things about my attitude and said i need to lose the grip on the house thing.
today is a new day, just keep your head up and look forward.

so that's it for today, unless hell freezes over , the rain stops the house moves it self.....what ever.

a fun saturday

we took lauren to the Shriner's circus saturday. she had a blast.
she loved the clowns and got her face painted. there was this one clown with a whistle, she laughed her hinney off. she rode a pony too!


after the circus we wondered the grounds of the civic center.
we visited our local 9-11 memorial. wow! it was breath taking.
just to see and touch those beams from the world trade centers was awesome!
what a great display.
also there was a slab of limestome , i think, from the pentagon.

then we took lauren down to the shell beach drive to see all the big houses.

she wanted mcalister's deli. so that's what we ate.

it was nice to take a break from worring about the house and just spend time
with my two lovers

Update:

I am so sick of the house mover!

this has been the things going on this last few days.

I was told Oct 3rd, the beams will be placed Thursday the 5th, jack up and ready to go on Friday the 6th. Moved on the 7th!


well, I torture my self everyday by driving in front of the house!

Thursday: I called "dork" and chewed ass out about not a damn thing being done.

Friday: chewed more ass! What the hell is going on?

Saturday: got back from town. Called chewing ass out on his voice mail.

that afternoon this guy, we shall call him DICK, called me a said he has been hired by the dork to move the house and he would like to meet with us to go over some minor things.
ok no big deal to me. Let's GO!
so he calls me Sunday at 1:00 pm and says he will meet us at the house at 5:30 pm.

....We get there at 5:20......Not a soul ....At 5:45 I call and leave a message, I am here where are you?..at 6:00 leave another message...........I know you are going to stand me up. I will be here till 6:30.......................... at 6:20 I call leave the final message........"You are a liar and cheated crook. "F" you!"

bastards! I felt like a 15 year old girl being stood up on a first date.

so I call him Monday morning and chewed his ass out yet again.
I really can not believe he is even able to sit down.

I called him nd spoke to him last night.
you have 24 hours from 9:00pm. To give me the money back, 5000.00 or a go to the lawyer and get not only the 5000.00, but the 1900.00 for late fees and 2500.00 for atty fees!

I was watching nick last night with Lauren and they were talking about Hispanic heritage month....What?

Ok update from Friday...

first off , I went out of this world with the message I left the house mover Friday.
yes I felt bad about the message left , but on the other hand I feel like he had it coming.

so Friday afternoon, once I got off work I went on a man hunt. I tracked him down and asked him why did he say he had insurance and did not? Well, he gave me the wrong policy to star off with. (I felt like a heel) :-(

so we talked and he said he would start on Monday. 9-4-2006

well, Saturday Fred and I went to lowe's , home depot and stine's to get materials to remodel the kitchen and paint for the living room, dining and kitchen. (geez, all that came out of our pocket)

then to Sunday, went to church.( I really needed that) :-)

after church, we went to eat and after eating I called and left messages for the contractor and the house mover to call me back...

the contractor called and said he had talked to the mover and it was looking like he would start the lifting of the house Tuesday......????? What????

then the house mover called and said since Monday was a holiday , he was going to have to give the state a call for a transport and he had to give them a 24 hr notice...

so looks like Wednesday is the day....After all this is over I am going to have to go on a little vacation...I am emotional stressed. Physically tired and so tired of all this crap!!!

and to you my dearest friend: thank you for calling me yesterday! No I am not in jail...I was at my sil house swimming and getting a nice sun burn...Ouch! But I feel refreshed today for the week ahead! Thanks for caring so much to call me!

Some things are just beyond control

Today is sept 1st. Only 4 days to get house moved and I have to deal with this shit.

I went home at lunch to get some paper work for the house move. I grabbed the insurance papers the mover gave me .
I decided to call the ins. Co to re-verify that he has insurance to move the house....The key word is "re-verify".

so I call, and talked to the same lady I talked to before in June.
she tells me that he does NOT have insurance to move the house... " What?" yes you heard me.
I chewed her a new asshole and hung up.

so I called the mover and left him a message that he has one hour to call me back. And has till 6:00 today to bring me back my money (5000.00) in cash or cashiers check.

what in the world am I going to do? I feel like god is punishing me for all the terrible things I have done in the past.

on the up side fred handled this better then i expected pissed off, but better then i expected.

so i call other house movers....get this the wait os 14-18 weeks before they can come out and give and estimate.....

the house is paid for. the slab is paid for.
oh god, please save my soul, for i know where the mover lives and i am thinking bad, thoughts which included torture.

so looks like if this dork, shithead doesn't call me back i will have no other choice then to go to the d.a.'s office and file charges. looks like i will be going to jail after all. just 3 days early

Deadlines and stress

I really could spit fire right now!!!!

I am so damn mad and stressed....

1. Ok the "house mover" told me last Thursday that the house will be moved Tuesday the 29 the.....

2. I call him Monday to verify the next day appointment and he tells me this shit story and that we could bank on Friday....Ok I understand and I will see your ass Friday the 1st of sept...

3. I call Wednesday to check on things for Friday.... He tells me Monday the ...what the hell!!!!!
ok I am a easy person to get along with but this is bull shit!
damn!

4. So today I call him after looking at the weather channel and local weather cast and it will be raining Monday....................!!!!!!!
I call him and tell him, his response is this! " I have other jobs I need to complete and your next on the list" god bless his soul should that house get stuck in the mud.

I am so hot and mad that he is screwing with me! dh just calls me to call him, I wish he would take some control on this, but knowing dh this would stress him out more then me and I can not take that right now.

so in short......
should I not update my blog Tuesday September the 4th ...I will be in jail.

Update: house

Well, I just got word, the house will be moved Tuesday the 29th. (weather permitting)
oh, the stress is rising again and I feel butterflies in my stomach. Just to be able to go home one day soon, and not have to worry about house things will be so nice.
the electric company came out yetersday and installed the poles. They will return today or Friday to run the lines.
we have decided to paint the paneling in the living, dining and kitchen at this moment. Money is running low and that is something that can be replaced later. As far as that kitchen!!!! I will need to hire a designer to do that later also, it is horrid...gag.

what a scare!

great neighbor 1/2 mile down the road luckly the lady that just bought the house down the highway calls a mutual friend we share and the friend calls me a work to tell me that there is a grass fire by your house.
ok so i tell her i will be home in 15 minutes and for her to call 9-1-1....so walking out the door i call my fil on his cell and he tells me he was burning some trees this morning and it was under control..??
me: where are you at?
fil: at home eating lunch, why?
me: i just told sky to call 911 about the fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fil: i will go check it out , i was just burning some small trees. no big deal. i am sure she is just seeing the smoke...i'll call when i get there!

the storyk, my father in law was in the field next to my house burning some old trees that fell down from the storm.....so he "sees" the fire is under control and leaves! to go to his house 4 miles away to eat lunch?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so he calls me back within 5 minutes and is holloring over the sirens and coughing from the smoke! fil: lori, the fire got out of control!
me: What the hel*!!!!!!!!!! no sh@t
fil: yes , but it is all ok! they but it out, man, i got close to the house too!
me: ( now) how close?
fil: like 20 feet or so. none to worry about
me: i 'll be home in alittle bit.
fil: no need the guys got it under control..so here i sit at work wondering what the heck was he thinking? he's a retired farmer and should know better. gosh! i sh*t in my pants worring about all the scrapbooks and all the pictures and other old things that can not be replaced....and to top it off what would have happened if it did catch the house on fire? omg!and i still have 4 weeks to move in the newer house!sorry for the rant but the stress and heat is literally getting to me!

we are on our way...

well, everything is going as planned with the house getting moved.
the stress level has decreased in size and i can sleep at night.

the ground work is done as of yesterday.....woo hoo!

next is for the concrete dude to come out and do his thing. should start today but i'll have to see when i got home.

sewer tank is in order , i just have to call tara when the house in on the lot and all they have to do is 3 hours of work and i'll be flushing......lol

the elecrtrical company should be out during the beginning of next week to run the lines and the poles for service.

water company!!!!!!!!!!!!! eeekkk! i have to go by there some times soon for them to set started. $400.00 for the meter and a $60.00 deposit....barf! but hey we will need water.

the house should be delivered as planned before september 4...crossing fingers.

it will be so nice to have a house, we have one now, but this house is newer and has tons of room.

Can you say STRESS!!!!!!!

stress, n. : physical, mental, or emotional tension.

We have till September the 6th to get the house moved and get our things moved in...

the house moved called back yesterday and they want $10,000.00 to move the house, that is no big deal. the deal is they can not give me a time frame....we have 60 days , well 59 days, to get this together.... what in the heck?

the pad\dirt guy will start next week.( praying for no rain) then the concrete guy will do his thing...$11,730.00!

then the house will have to be moved before the sewage unit can be installed.( don't want them to run over the lines) $2600.00!

i just pray that once the house is moved on our property that when the bank comes to appraise it that it will appraise for $70,000.00 or we will be in deep do-do!
